Our Mission

At Statesboro Food Bank, our mission is to eliminate hunger and improve the health and well-being of our community through access to healthy and nutritious foods, education, and advocacy.

When Life is Tough

The Food Bank, Inc. is here to help you during emergency situations, such as house fires, extreme weather events (hurricanes, tornadoes, flooding, etc.), domestic violence situations, or emergency home relocations. We understand that these times can be challenging, and you don't have to face them alone.

You Are Not Alone

During a crisis, the Statesboro Food Bank is passionate about preventing hunger. We work tirelessly to ensure that our clients receive the support they need during crisis situations with no discrimination. 

How to Access Help: Program Process

Contact Us for Immediate Help

To access emergency assistance, contact our main office at (912) 386-1462 or come in person. Our offices are located at 506 Miller Street, at the intersection of Northside Drive, W. and Miller Street, in Statesboro, GA 


We are open Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Convenient Pick-Up Scheduling

Food pick-up is available weekdays by appointment between 9:30 am and 3:30 pm. Saturday appointments are available from 8:30 am - NOON.

Urgency is Our Priority

We understand that emergencies don't adhere to schedules. The sooner you contact us, the sooner we can assist.

More About the Program

Our program can be a lifeline to those facing emergencies. More information about the program:

  • Frequency of Assistance: Participants can receive a 7-day supply of food assistance once within a 7-day period.
  • Long-term Help: You can receive up to 4 weeks of emergency assistance before transitioning into our USDA TEFAP Meal Box program, which assists low-income individuals and families.

About Your Pick-Up Appointment

Your food pick-up is convenient and simple. 


  • For emergency situations, call our Office at (912) 386-1462 during our office hours, from Monday to Friday, 9 A.M. until 4 P.M.  We will coordinate paperwork completion and schedule your first appointment.


  • Remember, food pick-up is by appointment only.
