At Statesboro Food Bank, our mission is to eliminate hunger and improve the health and well-being of our community through access to healthy and nutritious foods, education, and advocacy.

When Life is Tough

The Food Bank, Inc. is here to help you during emergency situations, such as house fires, extreme weather events (hurricanes, tornadoes, flooding, etc.), domestic violence situations, or emergency home relocations. We understand that these times can be challenging, and you don't have to face them alone.

During a crisis, the Statesboro Food Bank is passionate about preventing hunger. We work tirelessly to ensure that our clients receive the support they need during crisis situations with no discrimination.

How to Access Help: Program Process

Contact Us for Immediate Help

To access emergency assistance, contact our main office at (912) 386-1462 or come in person. We are open Monday - Thursday, 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Completing the Crisis Form

To receive help, you must complete an inquiry form. If assistance is needed, our team will guide you through the simple emergency assistance inquiry form, which collects information about your crisis situation and more.

A Tailored 7-Day Supply of Essentials

Based on your unique needs, we'll prepare a 7-day supply of emergency family foods.

Convenient Pick-Up Scheduling

Food pick-up is available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays by appointment between 11 am and 3 pm.

Urgency is Our Priority

We understand that emergencies don't adhere to schedules. The sooner you complete the crisis form, the sooner we can assist.

Case-by-Case Convenience

We also offer delivery services on a case-by-case basis, ensuring help reaches you, even when you can't come to us.

More About the Program

Our program can be a lifeline to those facing emergencies. More information about the program:

Frequency of Assistance: Participants can receive a 7-day supply of food assistance once within a 7-day period.
Long-term Help: You can receive up to 4 weeks of emergency assistance before transitioning into our USDA TEFAP Meal Box program, which assists low-income individuals and families.
