Meal Box Pick-Up is now at the back of the building.
You must enter from Parrish Street, the road behind the building.
Follow the red arrows (see map to the right).
Remain in your car, your box will be brought to you.
Please follow the directions of the volunteers directing you!
• Driving through the Miller St entrance means you'll be heading into traffic
and likely to cause an accident.
• Driving across the grass is both dangerous and inconsiderate.
• Our new process will actually make your Meal Box Pick Up process faster.
Clients eating lunch in the Sunshine Café and picking up a meal box after lunch should drive around and join the line after they are finished eating. Boxes will no longer be brought to your car in the parking lot.
Nourishment Through USDA TEFAP
Our Meal Box Support Program, a part of the USDA TEFAP food distribution initiative, provides essential nutrition for individuals and families facing food insecurity. Each box includes supplies for a week's worth of balanced meals. Join us in ensuring no one goes to bed hungry.
A Helping Hand in Emergencies
During times of crisis, our Crisis Assistance Program provides immediate food support.
We're here to offer comfort and sustenance when it's needed most. Join us in helping neighbors to provide crisis food support during their toughest times.
The Food Bank, Inc. is looking forward to the completion of our new facility located
at the intersection of Miller Street and Northside Drive, W. in Statesboro.
In addition to the food pantry, where Meal Boxes are prepared, the new building will house a functioning kitchen with the ability to serve hot meals, two classrooms, and a large garden. We intend to offer breakfast and lunch multiple times per week, and offer classes in nutrition, cooking, meal planning, home finances, infant / early childhood nutrition, and more.
