How to become a Volunteer?

DUE TO COVID-19, WE HAVE NOT BEEN ACCEPTING VOLUNTEERS AS USUAL…Below was our protocol prior to the Pandemic that we hope to resume as soon as safely possible.

The Food Bank is built on Volunteers!!  From the dedicated Board of Directors, Church groups, businesses, college students, individuals young and old.  Volunteers can lend a hand daily.

To volunteer call 912-489-3663 to schedule a slot. There are two separate time slots daily that usually come with different duties.

The morning slot (available Monday – Saturday from 10:30 a.m. till noon) consists of volunteers helping with inventory, organize food donations, load bags, assist in pick-ups, and pre-pair boxes for distribution.

While the afternoon slot (available Monday – Friday from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.) consists of volunteers helping serve clients this food portion.

Rebecca’s Café also needs volunteers to help cook, clean up and other various duties from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Dress code – Casual/Comfortable clothes and Closed-toe shoes
